Hello all. Today saw the completion of the hard landscaping works. We took delivery of the plants thanks to Myke Duncan @ leeds met.The rest of the team arrived and Aire Valley vacated (scarily close to the scheduled time!)We now have the exiting task of planting the garden, lets hope we can do Aire Valley's work justice. best regards John & Simon

Hello all. My appologies for our break in correspondence, we have been putting in
14 hour days, and not had much time to be taking photos. I hope the pics below will make up for it!?

During build we have had positive comments from lots of folk, including Andrew loudon (rating in the top three dry-stone wallers anywhere) who spent an hour talking to John and myself.

The week has been somewhat of a rollercoaster! Our sedum screens has been quite a challenge but the satifaction of seeing them completed has made it all worth while - we think there the business! Many thanks to David B.

We have had slight issues with our water feature - it unfortunatly has a minor leak - nothing major but it means we cannot leave it running over night. We believe the problem area is within the top sump, located under the cobbles. Due to deadlines we are unable to rectify this.

Today saw the completion of our planting, with time to fine tune and add detail within the slate rill edging and woodland floor behind the floating bench.

Rather spontaniously, we were one of two small gardens asked to give a live interview on bbc radio essex, John and i went along but john stole all the glory! (only joking :)

Carol Kline is coming to have a live interview with John for the beeb on Wednesday so keep an eye open for that!

We have had very kind and pleasing comments from many passers including some who knew Robin /Sybil Spencer saying that they are sure they would have liked it- which we thought was a great complement.

Some have said that it takes them back to York Gate ( a lady called Heidi - who went to Uni with Edwin - lmu)

We look forward to seeing all of you lucky enough to be able to make it to the show (those who cannot are more than welcome to a disc of collected process abd finished via snail mail)

many many thanks for all your support

best regards,Simon
